How long do you use your makeup brushes for?

before tossing them?

I clean my brushes on a reg basis, but are you supposed to keep them until they fall apart?

I'm starting to feel like I need to replace some brushes that I've had for a while.

I replace every 6 months.

nah, I use cheap ones..I don't find that much of a difference in the expensive ones.

I have a foundation brush, powder, eyeshadow..maybe it comes to about $30 every 6 months.

I don't care how much you wash them, there is still make up on them and bacteria build up.

waaayy too long. there is probably so much bacteria on them right now.
I am asking for new ones for the holidays.

I clean them all the time! I use Mac cleaner it works great

I clean them but probably use them 9-12 months. I just got a new bronzer and blush brush...but eyeshadow brushes last a lot longer.

I would say I replace my foundation brush more often than the rest.

I get them at the drug store. I don't know what brand they are but they are not overly expensive.

I can tell the difference when I have new brushes.

As long as you clean them regularly (using a brush cleanser), and the bristles are in good shape (none falling out), there is really no need to replace.

If you've invested in quality brushes, they will last you a long time.

I've been using the same Bare Minerals brushes for a year.

I clean them every 2 weeks or so.

I clean mine all the time.
The woman from Bare Minerals was on QVC, and she said to use baby wipes to clean your brushes, and it does the trick

I think next time I am at Target, I will replace some of my more $$ brushes with Sonia Kashuk brushes. I have a few of them and I am very impressed with the quality.
