Group Interview?
Does anyone know how a group interview works? It's for an office position in a Dental office?  Sounds kind of corny!

i had one once. basically its like 2-5 people who sit with you and they allask questions. I guess it saves times rather than goign form pne person to the next. good luck

You mean it's a bunch of candidates sitting with each other and people asking you questions in front of other people? That sounds too much pressure for me. It's hard enough on a one on one interview forget about everyone that's going for the same job as you staring at you.

No it's usually a group of interviewers- not candidates...
Like 2 or 3 people from the office interviewing you...

the ones that I have participated in have only one candidate and few people that work in the office. The office people would usually go say what their current job was and then start asking the candidate questions. It usually works well to see if the candidate's personality match the existing workers.

Really? The email I got said that they will be holding a group interview tonight, October 23, 2007. The time will be 7:00pm. Please respond with confirmation by 4:00pm that you will be attending. Doesn't this sound like a group of candidates?

yes it does and I've never heard of that. Sounds like they just want to weed it out and find the ones that can really stand up to pressure. It also sounds like a cattle call. I don't know if they know how to interview people. Sounds like a political debate rather than an interview.
