Ugh, Already a Bump in the Road
So yesterday I had my day 3 blood test and already got a call from the DR last night that my thyroid levels are too high, and I need to strt taking some medicine.... anyone else have this problem... is it anything serious, or pretty common and something they can easily fix?
I've also noticed a steady increase since my last 2 bloodtests (for other reasons). 2 years ago it was 2.5, last year 3.5 and now its 4. something... Could birth control pills cause this increase? What else can cause it? Thanks!!

I don't know about the thyroid levels, but as for the second question...increase in what?

Wow, and you've never been treated before, and you've had previous tests where your levels were high?
Were all of your levels high or just the TSH?

It is strange that your Dr wouldn't put you on meds when your levels were high. I would see an endocrinologist to get your thyroid under control before you TTC. You can FM SweetCaroline. She knows a lot about thyroid issues.

Re: Ugh, Already a Bump in the Road
Well I don't think 2.5 or 3.5 is considered abnormally high..form what I have read it is pretty normal... I'm just wondering why it keeps increasing...now that its above 4 I think that is considered high...especially when ttc.
And I am seeing an RE..thats who ordered the tests, and they are giving me a prescription for some meds.
I was just wondering if it is common or not.
