Anyone work from home?
What do you do and how did you find your job?
The reason I ask, I'm a sales rep expecting my first baby this spring. I love my job, but looking at the prices of child care, I'd basically be working to afford a babysitter. I'm also struggling with the idea of leaving the baby so early (after 3 months maternity leave). So I'm trying to gather ideas of ways that I can still work so as to continue to help with our bills, but spend as much time as possible with the baby. I waited my whole life to be a mom, I don't want to miss first laugh, smile, steps, words, etc. If I have no choice then fine, but if I can find something from home then that's even better.
PS. I have 2 national Personal Training certifications (and plan on also getting my Pre/Post Natal Fitness cert) and I do some private in home training at client's houses, one day when we have a bigger house I've thought about having clients come to me, but that's not for a while. For now I'm not sure it's woth the traveling around.

Re: Anyone work from home?
I do and I'm in sales. However I work in higher ed so during our busy season(before each semester I can be out of the house 3-4 days a week. Some weeks I have no appointments at all and am home all day. When I have a baby I will probably do child care with my SIL 2 days a week a nd try to do all appointments in those two days. Then I will probably hire a Mothers Helper to come to my house for part of the day fr the rest of teh week so I can work. If you look for outside sales most are work from home. I've been doing this for 8 yrs and have pretty much always worked from home.

I work from home doing Customer service.
Took me a while to find this job. Msot wAH jobs are not legit...the pay is good for a WAH job which many pay very very very little.
