She signed her mother's name
I teach 4th grade and would you believe one of my kids signed her mother's name on her progress report. I would have never dreamed of doing that in 4th grade.

Two years ago, I had a 1st grader erase a spelling word that I marked wrong (b/c it WAS wrong) and have the audacity to come up to me and say that I mismarked it!  And for a second, I second guessed myself. They can be rotton!

I had a 1st grader sign her mother's name in misspelled print. I can't imagine what she was thinking. They think they will get away with anything.

Personally, when stuff like this comes up, I guilt-trip them to no end. When I take them aside for our "chat", I say something like "Do you realize that this means I'll never be able to trust you again? How will I ever know if you're telling the truth, or if you're lying again?" I'm really good at that.

In order to see students on a regular basis, I need parental permission. One student in 2nd grade typed her own letter for me to see her and signed it "love mom" I was pretty sure her mom didnt sign it that way.

Last year, in Kindergarten, I had a boy "try" to sign his mother's name: MISNOGO to be exact. He wasn't that smart about it either since in the morning when I asked for it he said he didn't have it. When playtime came around like magic it appreared after he was sitting at his seat for a few minutes. Can you imagine?! Kindergarten!

I had a kindergartener a few years ago that used to write her own bus passes to go to her friend's house- passed it off as if her mother wrote it, but you'd have to be really dumb to believe it was her mother since the handwriting and spelling were so kindergarten. I always laughed at her attempts! I thought, well, at least she is writing!
ETA- now she's in 4th grade (in my DH's class) doing the same thing!

I do that too- I had this happen on signed tests in 4th grade and this year in 3rd grade
I am always  when I see them sign their parents name in print and without using their first names its always "Mrs. xxxx" AND they usualyy argue with me that their mom DID sign it like that

I signed my mom's name once in 3rd grade 
We always had to get our spelling tests signed every week, and I forgot once - it wasn't a bad grade or anything, I just completely forgot. I was so afraid of getting in trouble for not having the test signed, I figured if I forged her signature it would all be okay!
I don't remember exactly how the teacher handled it, but I learned my lesson & never did it again.
