I have subscriptions to quite a few magazines and i cant tell you how often i get renewal notices in the mail .I feel like i am contantly paying mag subscriptions and then the next thing i know, theyre sending me 2 a month.
WHy the he11do they send renewals way before theyre due? Now i have no clue when a magazine is actually going to expire.
Is this happening to anyone else?
Is there a way to go online and check your subscription status?

You can tell when it expires. Take a look at the address label it should have a code somewhere like 1107 or NOV07. I dont renew until its really time to renew - they send those things constantly!!! Before I knew this I never got 2 of the same but I was paid up for like 3 years!

We get them too, but we don't renew until we're relatively close.

i knew that was what this thread was going to be about
i really feel like i am paying them once a month - its so frustrating
that is a good idea to look at when they really are going to expire!

I always check to see when they expire by looking at the label.
But, would you believe some magazines are taking the exp date OFF the label just so you don't know??  I am sure its coded somewhere, but they make it impossible to know.

Be careful though, sometimes they will send a notice that says they are automatically renewing as a "courtesy" to you, and you have to send back the card to NOT renew.
This happened to me as I was moving & I never got the card, and all of a sudden I get an email saying I owe money. I was on the fence about renewing, so I just went with it.

It happens to me ALL the time. I am payed up until 2010 on ALL 10 of my subscriptions. When I grt another renewal in the mail I call customer services and exlain I am paid up for quite some time. It seems to help

this happens to me a lot ... i've definitely signed up for like 3 years of glamour before i realized it. 
now i just don't renew until i get the "last issue."

I have the opposite problem. I have one magazine that I have been getting the notice forever, and I dont want to renew, but they just keep sending the magazine.

DH has many mag subscriptions!!! 
I really don't understand why. He works in a library and can read those same magazines for FREE!!!!  Plus, they're not cluttering my house!!

We only have 3 magazine subscriptions that I got for DH for Christmas, so even though we get a thousand renewals, I know when they're actually up!
