Any Idea on How you Told your/his family

No I am not pregnant yet, but I am trying to figure a good way to tell his parents that we are pregnant when it happens. I already know i want to have them over for dinner but I am not sure of a fun way to tell them.

Can you ladies share some of your stories on how you told his parents/your parents?

I was too excited to think of any special ways to let them know...we just told our moms and family!!!

my friend had everyone over for dinner, chinese . She had bought an empty chinese food container and put a onsie in it that said i love my grandma/grandpa etc....i think that is a cute idea

We had our mothers over for dinner a couple weeks after Christmas. After dinner we gave them each a gift and told them it was something we saw on sale after Christmas and HAD to get it for them. It was a picture of our first ultrasound and a bib that said "I Love Grandma"...they both loved it

We gave our families a pink and blue carnation with a note from baby saying can't wait to see you in feb... They thought we were getting another dog because we have 2 and we got them so excited that we were having babies when we brought each dog over hahahahaha lol!!!!!

We gave them a bib that said "I love my Grandma" or "I love my Grandpa" and then used a diaper pin to attach a note from the baby that said "Can't wait to meet you on Feb. 24th! Love Baby Xxxxx"

This time I got Sarah a t-shirt that says "I'm going to be a Big Sister!" that she's going to wear on Thanksgiving. We'll take a pic of her in it to send that am to DH's parents in FL and my dad in GA.

It was Christmastime when I found out I was pregnant so we wrapped up "I Love Grandma & I Love Grandpa" bibs and gave them to them as gifts-all wrapped up. It was definately a suprise since we were just recently married and the looks of excitement were PRICELESS-my mom almost screamed from excitement and tears so much she almost fell off her chair (can you tell she wanted to be a grandama ?

for DH parents i bought a decorative pillow from buy buy baby that said "Grandchildren Spoiled Here". i wrapped it up and gave it to them, we got pg on the honeymoon so we said that it was a souviener we forgot to give them.

My girlfriend had her parents over for dinner and served baby shrimp, baby carrots, and anything else food related that is baby and asked them "do you see a theme here?"

we told his parents with a big black and white cookie cake that we had done in pink and blue and it said "roses are red, violets are blue, can you guess when your next grandchild is due?!"
