Wish list...
So I work in a public school in NC; we are a title I school, so most of the families are poor.
A massive email was sent throughout our school today.
Apparently one of the teachers asked their students to write down something they wished for the holidays.
One boy wrote "I wish I had a bed."
Come to find out that this boy and his brother take turns sleeping on the couch and one sleeps on the floor.
This broke my heart....I have a friend who has a frame for a bunk bed, and she said she would gladly donate it... now we are just trying to find mattresses, and sheets.
Sometimes things like this break my heart.

that is so sad!!!! its hard and most of really have no idea how some of our kids live!
I think that is very generous and nice of you to do. A school i workined in on LI used to ask students who were having hard times to make santa lists and teachers would sponser them and get them what they wanted from their lists.
