This is weird
I was reading about what not to eat (just reviewing  ) and found this:
"Some pregnant women may crave something that is not food, such as laundry starch or clay. Talk to your health care provider if you crave something that is not food."

That is so funny that this was mentioned today. A woman i work with told me today she actually did EAT laundry starch while pregnant. I was like "WHAT"???????  And she said she told her Dr. and her Dr. just said " you know you shouldnt eat that"... ummmm i was like isnt that poisen? and she was like "yeah"... she said it helped her heartburn.

One of my friends from work craved Sand...and BAD, I had one of these feng shui like sand gardens on my desk and she would come over to talk to me and EAT the sand....no joke. She said it was driving her nuts. I would make fun of her, but she would get mad cause she knew it was crazy but she just wanted to eat sand. It was kinda gross to hear her crunch on it...

I had this!! It was so weird, the smell of cardboard was delicious to me, the doctor said anemia brings this on, this is so hysterical, but when I would get to the end of the toilet paper roll I would have to control myself not to take a bite out of the cardboard, for one of my showers, my Mom and my aunt gave me a baskey full of empty toilet paper rolls, as soon as the baby was born it was gone!! It's so strange.
When my Mom worked on peds at Stony Brook there was a Mom there who drank paint when she was pregnant and her child had severe brain damage, they had to call CPS on her and they took her child away from her for a brief time, as soon as she could prove she had PICA and she had recovered from it, they gave the newborn back.
