Byron Velvick, star of "The Bachelor" season six, was attacked by the woman he picked to marry on the show.
According to the Pinellas County Sheriff's Department, Mary Delgado punched Byron, causing his upper lip to bleed. She was arrested in Tampa, Florida for alleged domestic battery.

The incident occurred Wednesday just after midnight. Cops say alcohol was a factor.

Ironically, the couple appeared this past Tuesday on "The Bachelor," following the rose ceremony and made it clear they were heading for the altar. Seems their plans may have just gotten altered.

WOW thats essed up. I just watched them on the Final Rose and they *seemed* happy.

WHATEVER!! IMHO anyone who would be on the Bachelor has got to have issues anyway

My DH couldn't believe he actually let her get arrested. And was he the one who actually called the cops too?

It makes me wonder if she somehow snapped after the airing of the show b/c of all the pressure of "he" has not married her/set a date yet.

Anyone see the After the Rose show, where they apeared and the host Chris asked about wedding date? And said he had the priest, etc right there and why not do it then and there? And the audience cheered...And Mary was like, "Yeah, audience...right?"

She seemed frustrated to me when Chris said that and I don't blame her. She wanted kids so badly and she isn't getting any younger. After all that was why she was on the show, she wanted to GET married.

I bet you she was so pent up with frustration after the show aired that she snapped. The timing is awful coincidental. I feel bad for her if he is stringing her along when she clearly laid her heart and her desires on the line during that show. He KNOWS she wanted to get married and I wonder if he has been stringing her along.

Every relationship takes two. It also makes better TV when the woman snaps. I dont think there are any "innocents" here. I don't think we will ever know the whole story."
