You're a piece of garbage. You found out that no one wanted to pay your diva, non-post season producing a$$, so you publicly crawled back to the Yankees on your hands and knees.

And the Yankee corporate brass - who said that they would NEVER negotiate with you if you opted out - are now negoiating a 10 year deal for $275 million. Hypocrites

Why are you coming back to NY? Not because you love NY as you state. That's the biggest crock of sh*t I've ever heard. It's because of the money and because it's the only place where your wife can wear an F*** You in the stands t-shirt and get away with it.

And these fans, who wanted your head last year, are now treating this like the second coming.

Thanks for helping to ruin the sport of baseball. And for MLB, you've lost a fan. As of April next year, I'm done. The magic is gone. The evoultion of game into the almighty dollar has stooped to an all-time high, and I want no part of it

Well that's just the Yankee organization for you. A bunch of hypocrites. A-Rod is a piece of dirt and a piece of Sh*t. I have no respect for him. And he obviously has no respect for himself because that's why he was down on his hands and knees begging. I'm glad that no other team picked him up because of his ridiculous salary demands. Just goes to show the stupidity of the new leadership of larry, moe, and curly steinbrenner...



Keep your overpaid great ballplayer during the season and biggest flop in the playoffs. No other team wants this piece of trash.

Well, I'm also disgusted by the whole situation and certainly not thrilled A-Rod is coming back, but I wouldn't call the whole organization a bunch of hypocrites... I will reserve that name for the new Steinbrenners-in-charge, though.

I'm not disagreeing that it's hypocritical, but I blame Hank -- the newest idiot to take the mic. I can't bring myself to blame the whole organization when these Steinbrenners are clearly the ones making the (stupid) decisions.

Eh, true that the Clemens thing was disastrous ... but Cashman has made good decisions too. I wouldn't call him a hypocrite. I'm just saying -- I agree that Hank Steinbrenner is a hypocrite, but I also think he's a big freaking baby, and I won't necessarily paint the rest of the organization with the same brush. I know they will be because he, unfortunately, represents them, but I can't think of EVERYONE that way. That's all.

My argument is that he isn't a hypocrite. I'm not saying he's always made the right decisions, though. But no GM has. And yes, of course he's held to a higher standard because of the money he has to work with, but I don't know if that's necessarily fair to him either -- although it does make sense to a point. (I'm Steph, by the way. I introduced myself on NFR a while ago but somehow found myself over here today. I have the feeling we'll be disagreeing a lot in the coming months. )
