How bad would it be...
If I went to the gym now? I usually go after work, but since I got pregnant and now live in LI I'm so tired after work. I have been trying to go at lunch. Well today I had a working lunch outside the office.
My only issue is my secretary. Its just me and her and I feel bad leaving her alone and taking off while she has to stay here. I have NO work to do and am so bored of playing games on the computer.
So what do you think? I like to lead my example- how bad would it be if I took off now and went to the gym? Part of me thinks that are certain privileges with having more responsiblity. Another part of me thinks its not fair.
I should add she comes in late sometimes (like 30 minutes) and I have never given her a hard time about it.

She'll probably be happy to be left on her own - like I am today

I'd say you're entitled to a lunch hour - how you spend it is beside the point.
Enjoy!

Welllllll do you mind if your secretary leaves? Whenever any of us leave early, our secretary leaves as soon as we're out of the building!

Re: How bad would it be...
I went and it was fine. I'm back now. I'm glad I did it. especially with the rain now- there is no way I woud have gone after work. I also feel more energized! Maybe I'll even do some more exercises at home.
I can't let her leave too- because then there is no one to answer the phones. I think I am fair to her. When she wants to leave early I always let her and never give her a hard time. I try to be a good boss.

Thanks. Its hard- especially hearing how so many women on here hate working for other women. There are problems- sometimes she comes in late and does some things slow, but since there is no urgency and we are not always so busy, I don't give her a hard time about it.
Overall she is really a good secretary and I try to show her how much I appreciate her. We get along well.
