new here!
hello everyone and congrats!
we just recently found out that we are expecting and it is very overwhelming. there are so many rules and so many feelings going thru my body right now, it's so hard to describe.
my first question is, what pre-natal vitamin are you taking? my doctor gave me two different kinds to see which one i liked better. they are pre-nate DHA and primacare. have you heard of either of these and is one different than the other??

Hi and congratulations!!!!!! I think i'm taking Primacare One...it's a purple oblong pill. My doctor gave me a bunch of samples also...the first I took the smell made me nauseous and this was the second I tried...so far so good.

My first pregnancy I had primacare and I loved it. This time I have Natelle and I hate them. I keep meaning to ask my doctor to switch but I always forget. And I just started taking them right before I go to bed so I don't feel the nausea.

me too... they are big and purple- but they go down okay- no side effects for me either...

Congratulations and welcome to the other side!!!!!!!!! I went out and bought just an OTC brand of vitamins when I got my BFP because they couldn't schedule me for a month to 6 weeks after I got the BFP, and my doc said that it was perfectly fine for me to continue taking them....
Ask away whatever you want to question, and nothing here is ever silly!

Congratulations!!
I take NatureMade prenatals and a fish oil supplement (same thing as DHA). My OB said they're the same as prescriptions so she just tells her patients to buy them.

Congrats and welcome. In answer to you question I am taking DHA duet - It's one tablet and one capsule.
They go down easily enough. Sometimes I can taste the tablet for a little while after I take it, but it does make me gag so I'm fine with it.
