Does anyone know how much $ LA Fitness is?
There is a new one openinig near my house so I was just wondering!

I think it was $150 to actually join and $49.99 per month.
It may be cheaper if its a new gym to get people........but Im not sure??

when the one in farmingdale was opening that is what they were offering
Julz- are you talking about the one where sports plus was? Do you know the hours they will be open? If they are opening at 5am, DH wants to join.

I paid $150 down and pay $50 a month. I also do personal training and pay $232 for 2 half hour sessions a week. Where are they opening a new one?

I paid something similar at the one in Lake Success. I LOVED that gym and miss it so much!

I go to Stony Brook everyday so I was debating joining when the new one opens here. But I was a member at the Ballys and never went cause it was out of the way of my house although it was close to school.
Julie, if you're looking to pay less you can also try Koga (not exactly where your house is in relation to it though). It's located in Selden in the Waldbaum shopping center. I think it $0 down and it's like $29 a month now for only a year committment. It's not as fancy as LA fitness but I love it and since it is close to my house it's more convenient for me.

I am talking about the one in Stony Brook (or is it Lake Grove?)
I think I am going to stick with my treadmill or Planet Fitness IF I ever decide join a gym. (Let's see how much baby weight I am going to have to lose)! We got a flyer from the new LA Fitness the other day and they had tons of great classes... so that is why I am wondering. If I can find where DH put it I will let you know the hours. Right now I can't find it.
