Cooking meatballs

I picked up some raw pre made meatballs from the butcher. How should I cook them? In a pan or in the oven? If in the oven -on a rack? How long? What temp? I have issues with touching raw meat and DH wanted meatball hero so I figured this was a good way to do it. TIA!

Re: Cooking meatballs

You can cook them in a frying pan, you can cook them in the oven on a cookie sheet (350 degrees) or you can simply put up a pot of sauce and drop the raw balls in and simmer them till they are done.

Re: Cooking meatballs

I like the crispy outside of a fried meatball but baking them in the oven is an easier way to cook them.

I dont like dropping raw meat into my sauce...the meatballs dont taste the same IMO

Re: Cooking meatballs

I usually throw them in a frying pan to brown the outside then let them finish cooking in the sauce.

Re: Cooking meatballs

I always bake them (did last night) on 375 for about 30 minutes, then let them sit in the sauce for awhile.
