Teachers make mistakes too
One of my students asked me how many sides does a heptagon have?
and I answer ummm it has 10 sides?
He goes aren't you supposed to know this stuff you're a teacher! I said I'm bad a math, hence why the other teacher in the room is teaching it. He was in such disbelief when I told him that the look of shock on his face was priceless.
(and a heptagon has 7 sides I found out)

i do that all the time.. hense the reason i teach 1st grade and not MS HS level haha

lol even in 1st grade when i was student teaching i would forget sounds of letters especially those short vowels!
i'd tell the kids to tell me the sound and i'd be like yeeeees thats it!
the basic things u forget when u are fluent in the language LOL

I make mistakes ALL THE TIME!!!! Most of the time they don't even pick up on it.
But it's true sometimes it's like these kids expect us to know everything there is to know.
