Thanks for taking on the responsibility of letting our friends here at LIF know about our new addition.
Darlene and I are so thankful for all the kindness and love thrown our way by all of you at LIW/LIF. We love you all and this really means a lot to both of us (hmm perhaps now I should say all 3 of us!)
OBVIOUSLY, this was the greatest day of all time to have a baby!!!! ;)
Just to update things, Darlene is experiencing a little trouble after the c-section. When I left the hospital tonight, her BP was 177/100+. They have moved her into a room on the maternity ward and will monitor her throughout the night. She wasn't feeling well enough to spend much time with the baby. She held the baby for a little while, tried to nurse and then promptly got sick.
I'll Keep you all posted.

I am very happy for you and your family!!!!!!!!
As I told Darlene before she went in that I was here for her if she wanted to call and talk I would be here 24/7. I too had problems after my c-section and wish I had someone to talk to. Please let her know that I am here.
Can't wait to see pics of the baby!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm feeling 100% better tonight after spending the day with Darlene and baby P.
Darlene's condition has improved dramatically. Her BP was 126/77 today late in the afternoon. I think we've cleared any hurdles the high BP might have presented. She's feeling some dizziness, and the medical staff believe that is a result of the pain medication.
Baby P is awesome and starting to nurse. I'm going to let momma post pictures so that I don't spoil her announcement about the gender.
I wish I had some company ATM...I really want to celebrate by popping open a bottle of vintage 1999 Moet Chandon I have in the refrigerator. I just don't think now is the proper time to begin drinking alone. LOL

I popped on here because I figured she was due this week and there had to be some news.
Congrats to the both of you!!!! and a Happy Belated to you as well!!!
I will be around on Friday & Sat afternoon if either of you need anything or if you just want some company.
