Re: recommend your (boots)
i also have problems with the "gap". it is VERY hard to find narrow calf boots. nine west sometimes has boots that fit. actually, i just bought a pair a few weeks ago at the outlet store in east northport for less than $50. of course they were not leather but was the only pair that fit my 12 - 13" calves. your other option is to buy a pair that you love and have a shoe maker take them in.
i just bought these (frye)in brown and black but KNOW that i will have to have them taken in. love the style though.
i tried these on last week but the there was a huge gap and i didn't love them enough to have them taken in. Image Attachment(s):

Re: recommend your (boots)
Hi - I've bought boots from a company in the UK called DUO. Their web address is www.duoboots.com They do everything from classic riding-style boots
... to high-heeled suede beauties
and the best thing about this company, is that all their boots come in 21 different calf sizes, so they'll fit your skinny legs. I have really thin chicken legs...with very straight ankles, and I have bought several pairs from Duo. I love their stuff. Check them out.

I have heard of them since my calves are like tooth picks- Im the lowest size that DUO goes to- but they are really pricey.
