Anyone just not care?????

This whole thing is like a witch hunt! To call out people like Clemens, Pettite, Gagne, etc is just pointless now. Unless you're going to test them for current steroid use stop smearing their names! You have no "hard" evidence such as pictures of them actually TAKING the drugs! the info is not coming from reliable sources and these people are just rats!

not to mention how much time and money was spent on such a frivalous topic! steroid use has been going on for years...i dont think that kids are gonna suddenly think "oh well they're doing it then i'll do it too". if anything, you're just drawing more attention to the problem now!!!! now the kids know EXACTLY who is doing it!

ughhhh, im just so annoyed by this whole thing! its all i've heard all day!!!!!!

I have no problem with the report other than that it's a little strange to me that there were no current Red Sox, other than Gagne who really was not a Sox, on the list. Just seems weird to me since Mitchell worked for the Red Sox organization.

That being said, I don't think he was seeking out certain people. I think he went with the info that he could get. As far as Clemens and Andy go, I won't buy into that story until they get something a little more conclusive than a former trainer whom Clemens fired saying that he did that. If other players, even ex players, verify the story then I'll start believing. But there is no proof at all other than one person's word that they took steroids. And if it's not true than it's a shame that one of the best pitchers to ever play the game will now have his name tarnished forever.

I was not at all surprised with some of the names on the list and I think before people make harsh decisions about teams and stats that they should pay careful attention to what years the players started taking steroids. To me that's the thing that I'm the most concerned about. People are just going to see names and say their whole career is a sham. I don't agree with that at all.

I agree - all we have is his word. It's one person's opinion.

Now, don't get me wrong - I'm no Clemens fan. Hate him. I tend to believe that he did do them, but again, I can't go by one person's account without some further proof. So, in my book, he's innocent until proven guilty

With Clemens, the fans think back to when he beaned Piazza and threw the bat at him....roid rage? We have no proof, but now that this is out there, you can't help but surmise. Regardess of whether this is true or not, this severely puts a damper on his (and Pettite's) quest for the HOF. They may eventually get in, but it wont be immediately, and there will be a constant shadow of doubt.
