Im so confused!
OK- for those of you who dont know... I got pg. shortly after getting engaged, and while I was currently pursuing my BA in education... My pg. was totally unplanned however not unwelcomed....
Since having Ryan I have grown strongly attached, and def. @ times have some seperation issues...
Im def dreading going back to work- even though its only part time, and started thinking about when I go back to school...
I've lost serious interest in my major, and grown fond of the job im doing now (finances) so was considering switching my major to business...however I dont wanna let all the $ and time ive already put in go to waste!
The worst part is as time is flying past i cant help but break down at the thought of leaving Ryan every morn.. then spending a few hours with him and then leaving him everynight... I cant do it, I dont want to do it, I dont think its fair to him, or me at that!
I started considering going to vocational school, and getting some type of business certificate, or just looking for a better paying job with what I have now....
DH is supportive of whatever I decide, however unfortunately his parents helped us financially to get our place before the baby was born...which in the end is the reason why I can go to work part time...part of that deal was because they understood that I needed to finish school....
As mothers...what do you think i should do???

Re: Im so confused!
IMO you have to follow your heart and do whats right for you. Everything changes once you have a baby. How far along were you with the Education degree? I used to be an Academic Adviser at Hofstra (before Logan) and know from experience that a lot of the courses taken in the Education major cannot fill requirments of a Business Degree. That may not make a difference though because overall you dont want to be stuck in a career that your heart isnt in to. If you do decide to go back to school, could you do it part time? Start by taking only one course and ease your way back into it, rather than going to school every night?
to you!

I ws going to say the same thing. Or what about just putting things on hold for a while? Things with Ryan are still so new but maybe when he's a year old you will be ready to go back to school. I know I would feel the same way about leaving so I totally understand being confused.

Well as of now thats the plan... take a few online and maybe one @ night...but I really am not interested in education anymore.... I had 2 yrs @ suffolk.... however only 39 of 64 credits transfered with me to dowling...then i prob have another 15 in education from dowling...???
I thought about meeting someone there...but all they want is your $$$ so i dont know how helpful they'll be

They wouldnt of helped if i didnt have school... i feel like how could i not live up to my end of the bargain>....???

i put my education on hold after I had my son..I liked being a mommy MUCH better at the time.. my son is almost three and I was just starting to look into going back and got preggo again.. You need to try and figure out what you want.. Its not the worst thing to put it on hold.. good Luck!
