fantasy vacation..

Turtle Island in Fiji, Tahiti, Moorea, Bora Bora and Australia.
If $$$ was no object I would rent out the entire island of Turtle Island (it's only $275,000 USD for an all inclusive week)
I think it would be fabulous to just spend a week in the South Pacific and a week in Australia. I've always wanted to go to Australia.

Cities. I love cities. ( no surprise here) I would spend 2 weeks traipsing around Tokyo, just looking, tasting, smelling, watching...
Or I would rent a cottage near a Fjord in Norway and relax....
You can have your beaches, they don' appeal to me.

I took one fantasy vacation - 2 weeks in Greece (Athens and Santorini).
Other fantasies...South Africa...New Zealand...Galapagos..Iceland (though not sure I'd do 2 weeks there).

Right now my fantasy vacation is trekking in Patagonia (Chile/Argentina).
I need active, adventerous vacations. Luxury resorts just don't appeal to me.

I was just talking about this with my DH, there and the Faulkland Islands. I am facinated by penguins and would love to see them in their natural environment. I just hate the fly and get claustrophobic on airplanes, so most likely although we have the means to do something like this, I could not travel that far.

You could take a cruise to Antarctica from Argentina. It's still a long flight, but you could break it up by spending a few days in Buenos Aires or another city in Central or South America along the way. That would be so cool!

the Maldives. it is only fantasy - since I don't think I would really spend so much time on a plane to get there. If I am going to spend that amount on a plane, I need things to do - like Japan or Australia.
