Jon and Kate + 8

Ok so is anyone else obsessed with this show? I'm kind of in a funk tonight, home alone - DH working, and thinking about TTC and my infertility - had my HSG this morning(normal). One day I am fine. Even can be ok for days. Then I cry at the drop of a hat like when watching this show. I'm so frustrated with this process. I'm supposed to see a RE soon and I'm nervous about scheduling appts wioth work - i work 12/13 hour days. Then to add to this, of course everyone is getting pregnant around me and my friends are having babies. I feel guilty, but I notice that i am pulling away from them...not calling back, etc. Not fair to them but I guess it is my coping skill. Any psychotherapists out there? Anyway, I really think that I am anovulatory due to stress. The problem is I don't know how to change it as my job is a stressful one and always will be. That will not change. Any advice? What do you do to relax about this? You ladies always have good advice. you are truly my support as I can't discuss this stuff with too many others. my DH is wonderful really - but don't want to harp on it. Sorry so long. Good luck guys. We're in this together.

Re: Jon and Kate + 8

It took me 5 LONGGGGGG years to have the twins and during that process both of my good friends had 2 and three children! How is that for a kick in the pants! LOL....I always knew that I would get pregnant, just didn't think it would take me this long! My children are the joy of my life! I couldn't imagine life with out them!

I really believe that we become parents when we are ready. But it isn't in our hands! Sure, I had to use science to help me along, but I was so much more prepared for parenthood!

There were weeks where I didn't speak to my friends and my mother tried to be supportive but she really didn't understand the whole process! I cried a lot and shopped way to much!

I wish you all the best on this incredible journey!

I'm so sorry you are feeling down. I have those days as well. I have been trying for a year + and still no BFP. But now I am getting treatment and am optimistic I am on the right track and on the way to my BFP and holding my baby in my arms.

As for Jon and Kate +8 I also LOVE that show. It doesn't get me down, instead it gives me hope. She has PCOS, like I do, and conceived with IUI, which is what I am moving on to next. Although 6 would be a bit muchChat Icon Chat Icon . Twins would be fine, though.Chat Icon

This is a very stressful journey. Many of us have found it helpful to see a therapist while going through it, alone or as a couple. We are here to support you alsoChat Icon

Re: Jon and Kate + 8

you are definintely not alone. I also find myself shutting out my friends and they don't even have kids. It's just my way of dealing with things. I defintiely have my ups and downs and I think everyone does. Remember it is ok to be sad, just try to let it not consume you. Keep yourself busy.

as far as Jon and Kate I always wondered how they ended up with 6

I saw that show and man do they have their hands full! I know they took fertility drugs to have their twins, I'm assuming they did for the sextuplets too even though they said they just wanted 1 more. I could never imagine!
