Interview Dilemna
Would you go on a job interview even if you thought you were not qualified enough?
Its for a job that I really love and could do "most" of it, but some requirements I have never handled. How honest during my interview should I be?

I would go on the interview - it's how you learn & move up.
Try looking into the aspects you don't have experience in and see if you can at least get some of the vocabulary down for the interview. I think most companies expect some sort of learning curve for new employees - if you fulfill the other requirements they would probably over look the lack of experience in a smaller part of the description.
Good luck!!

I would go on the interview, but I would also be honest about your qualifications. if you get this job and aren't able to do some of the functions, they can let you go.
make sure you tell them that you're very eager to learn new responsibilities and that you pick things up fast.
good luck!

Re: Interview Dilemna
I'd go to the inerview. If they called you for an interview, clearly they think you might be qualified.
I would be 100% honest about your qualifications and experience. You getting a job on false pretenses will hurt the employer AND you if they decide to let you go later.
Find out what those other functions are and familiarize yourself with how they may be done. Find things you do now that have prepared you to move into a position where you can take on those duties and emphasize the relationship in your interview. (Ex., and apologies that it's law related! "I have never been responsible for conducting an entire trial as lead counsel. However, I have second-chaired 2 lengthy trials, in which I was able to conduct direct and cross-examination. I have also argued over 20 motions on my own. I believe that has prepared me to move on confidently to a lead counsel position in a trial.") Also, emphasize how you are a quick learner, dedicated to learning more and improving your professional skills, etc.
Good luck!
