I bought a whole bag of pears from costco for DH....and they're still sitting there...anyone have a good dessert using pears? I didn't want to just pick one at random. TIA!

Re: Anyone have a dessert using pears?

Peel and cut pears in half
Place on Margarita glass
Add 1 or 2 scoop of ice cream
Put hot chocolate sauce on top (see recipe below)

Chocolate sauce recipe:
In sauce pan, put dark chocolate baker chocolate (about 1 package) broken in pieces
Add a Tbsp of water
Stir until melted. Make sure not to burn the chocolate so put on low heat
Once melted, add heavy cream (or half and half). Just a little bit.

Optional:
Whipped cream on top

This is great desert, super easy and always successful.

Slowly cook in some Calvados in a saute pan. Top with vanilla ice cream.

cut the tops off the pears and scoop out the core. Then pour some condensated milk into them and bake them in the oven.
