if you are looking for a hand mixer...I think Kitchenaid makes one of those also...

I just took my KitchenAid out of the box after almost 3 years ........I am not the best baker EVER - 
It's fabulous !! You can do everything the 'right' way w/o taking up 10 hours of your lfie !!

I have a sunbeam heritage series mixmaster. I love it and it's not as heavy as the kitchenaid ones.

I've had a KitchenAid for 4 years and it's falling apart!  I was using it this week and the rim that goes around the edge of the mixer fell off and metal filings fell into the bowl. The screws inside are all loose! I'm shocked and disappointed because I thought it was supposed to be a really good mixer. The pin that holds the top part onto the base is also always coming out.

I also have the KitchenAid 5-Quart Artisan Stand Mixer. I love it so much. Wish I could use it more (not enough counter space).

I forget the model but it's the cheapest Kitchenaid stand mixer.
It sounds nuts but what I like best is the color selection. I was able to choose between two greens and got the light pistachio. LOVE the color.
I've used it a lot for baking in the past year without issue.

I have the Kitchen Aid Classic.
I haven't used it yet but, my mom has had a Kitchen Aid for over 35 years and it's phenomenal (and still working!)

i my kitchen aid mixer... whichever one that you pick out, make sure the head tilts back... my MIL's head is stationary and it makes it a lot harder for her to use...
