I did (had an episiotomy and also they cut me in my vajayjay) and when i first looked after giving birth, it was so swollen and totally weird looking but it started going back a little each day and now 6 months later, i am back to normal Dont worry your body (all parts) need time to heal

You are a brave woman! I have not dared to look down there, suppose I should, but I'm afraid of what I'll see. It does feel less swollen and weird though (I'm almost 5 weeks past delievy now), so hopefully things are getting better.
Are you still bleeding? That's definitely going to look worse, and I think my swelling only really went down a week ago, so you might be swollen too. If you are really worried, call your doctor, but it's probably fine.

I didn't look but I could feel the stitches when I cleaned the area. I had a pretty good experience - very little pain or discomfort so I didn't want to look to have an image in my head.

Re: REALLY personal question for those that tore or had an epesiotomy...TMI WARNING
I actually didn't tear or have an episiotomy (DS was only 6 lbs. 9 ozs.), but I dared to look down there right before my 6 week apointment. It looked "different". I asked the doctor if it looked "normal". He, very casually, said yes. I asked if he was sure because it didn't look the way it used to. He kind of laughedl, and said, Christine, the anatomy of a woman changes after she has a baby. It was actually very funny!
