Me too! I wouldn't be in hiding to you guys at all... I just don't want my family and friends to know we're TTC. Then they'll want the blow by blow of every month, and the pressure will be, well, counterproductive to TTC.

even though most of my friends and family knew we were TTC i didn't want them to know how serious we were about it, and god forbid, if we weren't successful, i wouldn't want to have to explain myself.
i will be "coming out" soon enough, although i doubt that anyone except my LIW girls will know who i am! the only lurker i have is my DH

Ha never even thought to create a fake TTC name. It's me-nothing to hide!!! I can see why some people do.
We just put TTC on hiatus until the summer. Because we did I am VERY glad we didn't tell family or friends that we were in the first place. I might share with some close family and friends when we start up again.

I created a fake name because I wanted TTC to be just between me and DH, but still wanted advice/support.
However, TTC is a lot harder than I thought it would be. 16 months later, it is getting more and more difficult to keep up the fake name. My original plan was to come out after I was 12 weeks. According to my orginal plan, I would already have a baby.
