A brief Introduction

I have a DC (not disclosing age yet). DH and I have talked about TTC for baby #2 in the next few months.

I am a little "scared" b/c I am 33 and we were SO lucky in conceiving DC #1. I was on BCP for about 8-10 yrs and stopped. I got PG the following month! I went to my gyno today and I was given the option of stopping BCP now (stared back on after DC was born) or switching BCP, as I have been getting BAD migraines on BCP. I mentioned it to DH, but he didn't say "Sure. Stop BCP now" nor did he say "NO WAY. Stay on BCP til we're really ready to TTC"

Wow, didnt mean to ramble on like that. I want to stop BCP 1-to get my cycle and body regulated and 2-b/c I want to start preparing TTC....including losing some weight!

Thanks for "listening", and hope you'll welcome me as I prepare to TTC!

I agree. I know there have been a few ladies on here that took some time getting their cycles regulated after BCP. Good luck! I hope your stay is shortChat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: A brief Introduction

Welcome!!!! If the BCP will stop the migraines & you are going to be TTC soon, I would definately stop taking the BCP & use a backup method if you are not 100% ready to TTC for #2. Give your body some time to get regulated again & be able to get what you want done...Hopefully it will be a short & quick stay over here Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

I would go off BCP now. It took my friend 9 mos. off BCP to get her BFP with DD.

Re: A brief Introduction

Welcome and good luck!!! I think it's a very good idea to stop BCP now, as you will be able to regulate your cycle, become familiar with your body and stop the migraines. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon
