Buses for Trips Nassau...help!
Does anyone know if they offer mini buses to rent (we're a private school if that matters)? We've been renting a huge schoolbus for our class trips for my 12-15 students & it literally costs about $23 per student for the bus ALONE. This truly puts a damper on any fieldtrips.
Any other ideas?
When I worked in the city at a private school we got the free buses.

Hey Cindy...
I would contact the district in which your school is in. For example, say you taught at St. Agnes in RVC, you could contact the RVC Public Schools to inquire about bussing.
Public districts are required to providing busing to an from the private schools fro students as well and providing textbooks, as those parents are also pay taxes in the district. i would think this coudl apply to busing for field trips??
i would ask an administrator at your school.
