Estradiol question
On Wednesday I had 2 5-day embryos transferred. Follow up bloodwork was fine friday. Today when I came home I had a message that I'm to start taking 2mg Estradiol tablets twice a day. The Dr.'s office was closed already when I called but does this mean the transfer didn't work?

It doesn't mean that it didn't work but your E2 levels might be lower than what they want and that is why you need take supplements...
High levels of E2 & P4 are needed to sustain a healthy pregnancy (especially in the beginning before the planceta takes over)....
Since you had IVF done your body needs help in making these hormones (vs a natural conception when your body does everything on its own) that is why you need P4 shots after transfer and sometimes E2 supplements....

I had to take them too, but that was my RE's protocal.....I took Estrace Patches, and then wehn I did FET, I took Estrace tablets.

Thank you for your responses, the Dr's office said the same thing. Now I just have to wait until friday to find out if it worked...

I had to take Estrace twice a day after all my transfers....
