OMG!!! Big Baby
I went for my 37 weeks appointment and they did a growth sono. The tech says  is weighing in at 8lbs11oz!!!!!! And I still have 2 and 1/2 weeks to go!!

Since my office is also the land of PG women, I hear them often say that those are not always 100% accurate, so don't make yourself too nervous...hope you have a nice easy delivery! I expect to have a ginormous baby myself, so I am not even giong to get my hopes up for a tiny one that just shoots right out.

Remeber it is +/- 1 pound.
At my 38 week appt DS was weighing in at 9lbs 1 oz. He was born at 9lbs 14 ozs, even if your DC is bigger, there are advantages to larger babies...DS takes a bottle at 11:30 then sleeps until 4:30 takes anohter bottle and is back in bed until around 9....Rumor has it larger babies are better sleepers!
Good luck no matter how big/small your baby is!

A former coworker of mine went for a growth sono and they said the baby was about 9 lbs. She had high BP as well so they decided to do a C-Section. Well her daughter was 7lbs 3 oz. They were almost 2 lbs off.

Ditto everyone else... the numbers can be way off. It doesn't look like I'll be having any growth sonos and I think I'm at the point where I'd rather not know. I know I'm HUUUUUUGE and that's enough for me.

Hello Ladies! Just lurking, I'm TTC for #2 right now, just read this post and when I was a day overdue with my first the sonogram tech sized her at 9.1 lbs! I was freaking out... she was 7.12 at birth so those readings are definitely not always 100% accurate. But I'm sure no matter how big or small I bet your baby will be adorable!!!!

Dont worry so much about what sono tech tells you. They told me my dd was that and when she was born she was 7lbs 5 ozs.

at 37w, 2 days my dd was measuring at 8lb, 3oz....
I had her at exactly 39 weeks and she was 9lb, 8oz

At 34 weeks Hayley was estimated to be 6lb 15oz she was born at 35 weeks at 6lb 13oz...pretty darn close

Don't be too alarmed by that. my friend was told her baby was 7 lbs at her 37 week appointment and her baby was 6 lbs 12 oz at birth and she was 5 days late.

Yep, I am pregnant with my first, 5 days overdue, they said my baby is 9 lbs 2 ounces. Needless to say, they are taking it out "new"-fashioned way - c-section. Sorry, I did not want to scare you. My doc is just extra cautious, and she does not want to induce such a big baby, and it's not looking like I am going into labor myself here
