enrichment clusters?
Does anyone use enrichment clusters in their school? If so, what's the general teacher sentiment about them? Would love to hear your experience!

Re: enrichment clusters?
Do you do follow the schollwide enrichment mode? We did this last year and will be starting up again soon for 4th grade and up. From what I remember the kids really seem to enjoy it...........the transitioning is a little rough at first.l

Re: enrichment clusters?
We do follow SEM... I piloted it in our district last year and it expanded this year to other buildings... the next step would be clusters... and I'm wondering how to best implement them.... any helpful hints? what district are you in?

Re: enrichment clusters?
We did it on Friday mornings 2 periods. Students met in the auditorium and broke up into their clusters. We surveyed the staff to come up with a list of clusters. Next the students took interest surveys. Some of our clusters were knitting, cooking, bookmaking, basketball, gymnastics, photography and scrapbooking. Students had to be reminded not to select what their fgriends were selecting. Not everyone got their first choice. Did you go to Confratute? I think the surveys werre taken right from books that were given out there. We did a show at the end with a display from each cluster. We are in district 30.
