I recently just got it around my eye! I went to the dermatologist and she gave me a cream to put on 3 days a week.
Same for my mom!

Ryan has it. Aquaphor lotion helps alot, we also have a rx for flare-ups (protopic)

I have it on my hands and in the elbow pit region as well.
Try the hydrocortisone and if it doesn't work, ask your doctor to prescribe something. Mine prescribed Triamcinolone and it works great for me.
Also, moisturize the areas a few times a day (at least 4) with a lotion like unscented Lubriderm, Eucerin or Aquaphor.
Also - take warm showers - not ones that are too hot (that's the hardest part for me).
Ditto on all counts.
Have you been tested for allergies? I have eczema all the time, but it is SOOOO much worse if I eat dairy or tomatos.

Not officially, but I have a LOT of skin allergies.
Fabric Softener, Cinnamon, Tartar Control toothpaste, certain brands of nail polish, all give me horrible skin reactions.
I think I'll start paying attention to when it's worst to see if there's a link.

Eczema is very often caused by food allergies, specifically to milk, tomatos, nuts, soy, wheat, etc.
Definitely try an elimination diet. I stopped drinking milk for a week and realized that was causing my rashes. Now I don't drink any milk, but if eat too much of other dairy products I will get a rash.
it also sounds like contact dermatitis in your case, most of those things are irritants, ot allergens. If your skin is so sensitive, try changing your soap, shampoo and/or laundry detergent.

DS gets patches of it on and off, the hydrocortizone cream works and within a few days everything is gone.

Everything I use is frangrance free and dye free already.
It never dawned on me that it could be food related.
