hands on math activities - 4th gr

Good evening! Our school might be trying something different this year and I'm excited about it, but looking for suggestions/ideas.

Instead of doing just the basic test prep for 4th gr math assessment, we want to have some sort of workshop program where the students can visit 4 or 5 themed workshops for an hour a week over the course of the next month. For example, in the Measurement workshop, one of the grade level teachers will be doing a hands on Math Olympics activity that requires students to use different measurements. It gives the kids better hands on practice than worksheets and mixes up the test prep...

Can anyone suggest any fabulous hands on, moving around, making-something activities that would be appropriate for 4th gr math? I'm thinking geometry, fractions, multiplication, division, word problems as big topics right now...

WE just had a math night at our school for grades 3-5. The kids really liked it. There were a few diferent staions: a variety of math bingo games, tangrams, a measuremennt station, making cookies, using pies for fractions. Those are some ideas you can use.

Awesome idea...I have done art projects using obtuse, acute and right angles.
