Re: Vegas
Just got back from Vegas. I have been there many times. The Venetian is a great hotel because every room is a suite. The rooms/bathrooms are wonderful. There are so many restaurants and things to do in that hotel as well. It's right in the center of the strip. Across the street is the Mirage, Treasure Island, and to the right is the new hotel called The Wynn.
A really nice hotel that usually has reasonable rates is the Monte Carlo. It's clean, classy and if you upgrade the room there is a huge jacquzzi. It has a great pool area and great service. I have stayed there for less than 100 a night. It's right next to the bellagio, paris, alladin, new york new york.
The best buffet in Vegas, is the one at the Paris buffet. I truly recommend you check it out. The food quality is above the typical buffet quality food. It's delicious and so much to choose from. The Venetian had a wonderful sunday brunch, that included lobster tails, oysters, clams on the half shell, shrimp and italian dishes. I really enjoyed that as well.
I have stayed at other hotels there, so if you have any questions, just forum mail me. :)

Re: Vegas
We went to Vegas in April and stayed at the Excalibur. We had a blast. We did the tournament of kings, played in the casino and when we lost in the casino went down to the arcades and games and really showed them. We walked out with 3 HUGE garbage bags filled with stuffed animals and prizes.
we walked the strip and enjoyed the buffets. The Rio has a really great buffet.

Re: Vegas
Caesars is awesome. Great shows to see are Celine Dion and Blue man Group.
A great place to eat is Luxor Steakhouse at the Luxor hotel. Try to get a couples massage. the best place to go is the Venetian. Dominic gives the best massages.
Dh and I have been there twice. I want to go back next year.

Re: Vegas
I had my bachelorette in Vegas... we kinda did it on the cheap so don't pay any attention to me...but we had a GREAT GREAT GREAT time!! I loved the pool at the Tropicana with the swim-up BJ, and the cheesy trapeeze guy and other shows they do in the lobby at random times. And Rum Jungle at Mandalay was lots of fun... You will have a great time!! I am so jealous!!

We just got back from Vegas and had a great time. We stayed at NYNY and loved it. The buffet at the Luxor was out of this world and we had our anniversary dinner at Olives in the Bellagio which was beautiful and romantic. Here are some of my pics from my trip. Vegas Trip Pics

Re: Vegas
I also recommend the Venetian- It is a beautiful hotel with lovely rooms. The pools are nice, but nothing spectacular. THe spa is canyon ranch - awesome but
If you like steak, definitely check out Nine in the Palms Hotel.
Also try to see O- and make reservations in advance. It is an amazing Cirque de Soliel show!! It is worth every dime. I had never seen anything like it, and I don't think I ever will!

Re: Vegas
I'm a little late but DH had our HM in Vegas. We stayed in the Bellagio which was fantastic and toward the center of the strip. But, I think if we were to go back we would stay at NYNY. While we were there we saw Ray Romano, Cirque Du Soleil, and David Copperfield.
We ate at Wolfgan Pucks restaraunt in MGM one night, awesome food! We also ate at the Harley Davidson Cafe, Jean Phillippe Pasterie, Onda (great Italian in Mirage) and so many more.
You will have a great time!!

Re: Vegas
Absolutely the venetian! BUT if u do not stay there be sure to take a gondola ride in this hotel with your DH. Very Romantic and fun! Additional hotels to not miss...Mandalay bay has a homemade ocean, Treasure island has pirates show outside free, Mirage has volcano eruption outside free. I also love paris. there is a great restaurant that overlooks everything but very pricey but nice. Dont forget to go to the 4 floor M&M factory.

Re: Vegas
The Venetian is definitely a cool hotel. If you get tired of 'the scene' take a day trip to Red Rock Canyon. It's beautiful.
