Does clomid make anyone else emotional?
Now I am up to 150mg. The hot flashes I have had before, but I have never been so emotional from it before.
I am feeling so down about IF right now, and its weird because just a few days ago I was fine, I was really optomistic about this cycle. Now I am in a funk and thinking nothing will ever work and we are going to run out of money.
I don't know who else to talk to about this stuff. DH tries to understand, but can't be on the same level that I am. I try talking to my mom about it and she just keeps telling me it took over a year to concieve me. So she understands on some level, I guess, but I am feeling down that I can't do this naturally. That I need to go to the doctor at least once a week, that making a baby is a medical procedure.

i don't know but I just wanted to send you some  and  . I was on clomid for 3 months- first month 50, 2nd 100, and 3rd 150. I don't remember being overly emotional but every month is a roller coaster ride for me so I'm no help

It makes me a psycho! If you are not responding to 150 mg of Clomid maybe you can move to injectibles. I know that doesn't help with the whole medical aspect but honestly(and this is in the nicest way possible) you will have to get over that. I felt that way for a while then I turned it around. Imagine if we didn't have the science to do this and if you didn't O on yoru own that was it. No baby...it's a lot worse of a scenario. Good luck and

You are right, I am just having a bad day.
I did have success after two rounds of 50mg, but they moved me to 100mg the next cycle since it took so long on 50 for my follies to grow. The first time on 100mg I responded pretty quickly with one good follie. Then the second cycle with 100mg, nothing happened.
So this is my fourth cycle of clomid.
The RE told me when the last cycle was wasted that we could go as high as 250mg of clomid? I never heard of that before.
I have no problem at all doing injectibles. I'd rather do that than take 5 pills of clomid a day! If I don't respond to 150mg I am definitely going to ask about injectibles for next cycle.

once they bumped me up to 150mgs, I became overly emotional, in addition to becoming quite the b!tch!

I HATED it, it made me very crazy....so my RE put me on Letrozole...NO side effects at all.

The first month on clomid (100mg) I was emotional; the last two months have been on 150mg and I've been fine. Just alot of floaters and hot flashes

I think that is a good plan-you should be producing more than one follie on Clomd..what is your after O progesterone? Good luck to you

I was a complete and utter looney toon on Clomid.
It was awful and definitely got progressively worse each month I was on it.

My progesterone after O is low. I have to use suppositories starting two days after the trigger. That has some wonderful side effects as well.

I have not taken it, but I was really good friends w/ someone who was on it and she was a horrible mess!!
Her hormones were all over the place.
Just remember when you start to feel on edge or highly emotional, keep calm and remind yourself that this is only a temporary feeling and it will pass....
