So I signed up for a class to make a quilted bear.

I'm a new quilter, and just took one hand quilting class. I got the email with the supply list, and realized it's a machine quilting class. I don't have a machine. The store clerk said I could quilt it by hand, but it would take longer.

I figured that since everyone else would be using a machine, I would get WAY lost, and I cancelled the class.

Did I make a mistake? Could I do it by hand? I'd really like to since I have 2 friends pregnant and this would be a great gift. Should I re-sign up?
