cardiologist needed asap...
My FI is having irregular hertbeats all week and he won't go to the ER. I called my cardiologist and they can't squeeze him in today and they are closed tomorrow...can anyone recommend one in NYC or Queens/Western Nassau that has late evening and/or Saturday hours? I'm PRAYING it's nothing but I'm very nervous (more nervous than he is!)
THANKS!!

Re: cardiologist needed asap...
Not sure on his hours, but here is the info on my father's cardiologist:
Dr. Nicolas Raio 80 E Jericho Tpke Ste 100 Island Cardiac Specialists Mineola, NY (516) 877-2626
He's AMAZINGLY thorough. He saved my father's life. The nurses in the hospital refer to him as "God."
Seriously, though, he's an extremely thorough doctor, in addition to being very personal and professional.
Good luck!

I'd find one affiliated with St. Francis. They are the best cardiac care hospital around.

I can recommend a few at NY Columbia Presbyterian Hospital. He is better off going to the ER. This is serious shite and he should GO to the ER at St. Francis, NHSU, or LIJ. They can evaluate him, recommend a cardiologist, give him meds, etc. If he is feeling dizzy, or shortness of breath DRAG HIS ARSE INTO THE CAR AND TAKE HIM. If it is atrial fibrilation, arrhythmia, or palpitations they can give him the meds he needs at the ER.
As someone who has heart issues and has been through the annoyance of going to the ER, every time I have gone, they found something that need to be corrected through meds and had me follow up w/ my doc at Coulmbia. I pray that your FI agrees to go to the ER and have this checked out.
