PAINKILLERS AND PREGNANCY

Hello Everyone, Has anyone been on percocet and vicodin while they were pregnant or still pregnant. I had a severe accident (mauled by friends dog) and my hand was badly injured and I needed surgery. In the hospital they gave me vicodin, the pain was so bad they offered my morphine but I declined. I was on vicodin but then they switched me to percocet...Trust me, if the pain wasn't bad, I would decline. Im afraid to think of what's going on with my baby. Im 20 weeks now. Thank you

Re: PAINKILLERS AND PREGNANCY

I was in the hospital ar 12 weeks with an ovarian cyst that ruptured and they gave me morphine because they said it was safe in p/g.

Me personally...I wouldn't take it. Not unless the pain was so unbearable that I physically couldn't handle it...and then only if the doctor strongly recommended it.

Re: PAINKILLERS AND PREGNANCY

I don't know anything firsthand, but I heard from a friend who is a doctor and who also had a baby recently that vicodin is a no no, but percocet is safe.
