Caring for your knitted items (blankets, sweaters, etc.)
How do you girls clean your knitted blankets/clothes?

Re: Caring for your knitted items (blankets, sweaters, etc.)
OK, so this may not help you, but I follow the instructions on the tag that goes with the yarn. (When I give knitted gifts, I always include one of the tags so that the recipient knows what type of yarn it is.)
If it can be washed in the machine, I don't dry it all the way and then I lay it out. Otherwise, I handwash it and then lay it out to dry.
Maybe you could ask the person who made the item for you, so that you can get a better idea. (Generally for babies, I use yarns that can go in the machine. New mommies have enough to do w/o handwashing stuff )
