How often do you wash your hair?

Was the dermo shampoo Nizoral? If not, try that.

Re: Ughhh Dry Scalp
Before washing try massaging the scalp with Jojoba Oil or a tiny amount of olive oil

I know you are pregnant (congratulated you on your recent good news!) and was told by my gyno and derm to stay away from the coal tar and other medicated shampoos.
I am 17 weeks and my scalp is so dry and flaky. I have been applying baby and olive oil just to moisten it.
Someone recommended tea tree oil and I just bought that so I will let you know how it works.
I feel your dry scalp pain!!!

Re: Ughhh Dry Scalp
Loreal makes a product that is applied to the scalp, but for the life of me I can't remember the name.

Re: Ughhh Dry Scalp
my scalp tends to get dry during the winter and i will mix in head and shoulders dry scalp when i feel it coming on. it used to be bad and i used neutrogena t gel which worked like a charm!
also, try not washing your hair everyday. the natural oils in your head are a good moisturizer.

Re: Ughhh Dry Scalp
I found my bottle of the Loreal stuff I mentioned in my previous post. I'm not sure if its sold in stores (my SIL used to work for Loreal). It's called Nature's Therapy (its part of the Loreal classic salon products). Scalp Relief for dry, tight scalp.

Re: Ughhh Dry Scalp
UPDATE: My derm said to avoid the tea tree oil for dry scalp while pregnant in addition to the medicated shampoos.
I was just there for an appt.
