HIDA with ejection traction

has anyone had one ? I'm having one tomorrow - the hospital said it could take up to four hours Chat Icon

If this is the gall bladder function test, I had it.

It didn't take that long, maybe 45 min- 1 hour.

It is like an x-ray. Then they inject the die through the iv. Not terrible.

thanks for the responses - yes, it was for the gallbladder...and you're right it was painless, but it took almost 2 hours.

I had a HIDA scan done about 5 years ago. I think it took 1.5 hours. It was nothing

we order this test all the time at the office wherer i work. i think 4 hours is a ittle much, closer to 2 hours. they probably tell you 4 hours in case they are running late

it was 2 hours...and they diagnosed me Chat Icon Chat Icon gallbladder out !!
