Not so Happy, Happy, Joy Joy News
I did not want to go searching for my thread so I'm doing my update here... This is where I'm at now, I dont think I'll ever be having children and i'm really devastated over it, I'll get over it but I'll alway's have a piece missing in my life.Maybe in my nextlife i will be rewarded with children,Sorry to be a downer, Thanks for all of your support and listening to my Whining.You are all are a Great bunch of people and I can call you all my family to.Thank you.
Put it this way the Dr scared me, to tell you all the truth i dont know if i would want to get Pg now....I would be a high risk neuro patient i would have to be in the hospital like 4 days each month to be monitor, and i dont think my job would like that. they would put me on a different meds but the risk can still be there but mostly not it would be a chance i would take. i could die if i gave birth if things did not go my way my airwave can close up, but than again i would be fine, I dont know if i want to take that chance. my blood pressure was very high tonight 170/110, well that was from hearing all of that and my mom and dad listening to the dr as well and telling me to really think about it than she took it again and it was 150/100... Also now i have to get a heart monitor done, also i'm getting a baseline eeg done tomorrow... Maybe thing's will work out, BUT it seem's like the 'Odds' are against me... I feel so depressed now. I would love to have a baby, but is it worth Risking my life?the Dr is going to look at the 48 hour EEG when my Dr. send's those results to her, Than we will have more answers and maybe, Just maybe we will see how risky it would be for me to get Pg.

Ro- What have you exactly been diagnosed with? (I am admitting I am reading and having a painful day so I am under medication and I could not follow your post, it has me confused)
Just trying to get it clear in my head. What have you been diagnosed wtih and what will happen to you if you do get pregnant?

Just trying to get it clear in my head. What have you been diagnosed wtih and what will happen to you if you do get pregnant?
I'm on phenobarbital Deb and i cant get pregnant with that medicine, They were going to try and put me on a anti seizure med that I would be able to get pregnant on, But i would be taking a chance on a different medicine and what if it did not work as good as the one i'm on now? they are basically saying to me that I would be watched'ALOT' and have to be in the hospital for 4 days a month to see if the baby is progressing and developing Normally, they said also the baby can have spinal problem i cant spell the word it starts with an S, not sids...they also said that if i gave birth there is a chance my throat can close up and I can DIE, I'm risking my life if i get pregnant...I have come to the conclusion it's not worth risking my Life because i dont want to upset my family and friends, I'm just feel like a piece will alway's be missing in my life and I'm hurting.
Eta I have not had a seizure in 37 years and Been doing great but this is what i had to do to see if i was able to have a baby... I hope you feel better I'm thinking of you.

get another opinion and then make your decision. one doctor told me i couldn't have children because of my history with melanoma then another told me its not so then the first one came back and told me he was wrong..i think i'm willing to take the risk if it means having a baby. just think about it and get another opinion.

I'll think about it, about getting a second opinion...No Dawn it was yesterday the basedline EEG, I let you know how that comes out when i hear from the Dr. Thank you everyone.
