It sounds to me more like you may have gotten burned by the wax than you are having an allergic reaction to it... Have you tried putting some moisturizer on the area?

Re: Xpost - Adverse reaction to eyebrow wax

OMG this happened to me once so bad. They ripped a layer of skin off with the wax. First my eyebrows swelled up and then it spread around my eyes. I ended up having to see a dermatologist (about 3 days after getting waxed) and going on antibiotics. It had all ended up infected.

The dermatologist said it could end up being very serious. In fact, I saw her on a Friday and she said if it got worse over the weekend not to hesitate to go to the emergency room.

Don't mess with it - if it looks worse definitely see a Dr. asap.

By the way, are you using RetinA or anything like that? I didn't know this but you are not supposed to wax if you are. This is why my skin came off with the wax so easily.

Nope - I'm not on Retin-A or anything....

I dont think it ripped the skin off - just looks like I have some huge pimples or welts that popped up. They havent gotten worse, just itchy.

Thanks for the opinions!
