whats wrong with me ??
ok since today was my birthday and also Valentines Day dh always goes all out with the presents
he got mefor my bday
a gc to have a mani,a SPA pedi and eye brow wax
gc to NY&company
gc to have a full head of highlights wash cut and blow at my hairdresser
for valentines I got roses, then a bouquet of I guess there daisyies and tulips
a huge heart filled with chocolate
and brought me my favorite lunch
now why couldnt he just stop there that is MORE THAN ENOUGH
no he had to also book a weekend vacationfor next weekend
which means I habve to leave my 3 girls for 2 nights
I have NEVER EVER spent a night without Brianna (13mths) and I dont want to I really love DH but I want the baby to come
whats wrong with me??
why cant I just enjoy this gift

There is nothing wrong with you. It's a change & you're thinking you're going to have a hard time leaving your girls, especially the baby.
WHICH IS EXACTLY WHY YOU NEED THIS!
and while you may not enjoy it at this very minute, oh you will!

Sounds like he was really tiring to spoil you. If you truly are not ready to leave Brianna yet, maybe ask if he can change this for another weekend to give yourself more time to get used to the idea of leaving her BUT you have to promise to keep that date. Your husband wants to spend some alone time with you  not such a bad thing. But I understand your sadness too.

First, happy birthday. Your husband got you many wonderful gifts. I am sure it is hard to leave the girls but like the pp maybe he can postpone it to a different weekend to give you more prep time. Go and have a great time!

if you have a good sitter and they will be good then go!!!!!!
eventually you will have to and this is a great opportunity! I think its fantastic, if you say no--I am coming there and dragging you there!

I definitely dont want to seem ungrateful
but he wants to go 4 hours away and its winter and I dont think there will be anything for us to do without the kids
I would rather stay a little closer to home ya know
I feel terrible even feeling this way
I love DH soooooo much so I should just stop before I hurt his feelings

Been there and frankly I regret it. When my youngest was 15 months, my husband wanted to do two nights at Gurney's (booked it, paid for it made dinner reservations, etc). I was convinced that my youngest was to much for my mother to handle for two nights (she was really a handful). So I cut the trip to one night, even though my mom told me not to. Four years later, I can tell you it was a mistake. Once you have kids (I only have two, I can't even conceptualize three), you get so little uninterrupted time away with your spouse. Please try to enjoy it and believe me a few nights alone really reenergizes a marriage. Its good for everyone, including your kids.
