Inadvertent fat comments
Oh you're here...when I came by your desk yesterday and didn't see you, I thought you had the baby.

I was in line at the grocery store yesterday when a woman asked me if the box of Funny Bones in my hand was for me. I replied yes and she went on a 10 minute spiel about how horrible they were for me and the baby and how I will regret eating them, they will make me feel bad and add extra pounds. I was polite and didn't say a word, it was really quite funny. But What NERVE!!!!
OMG how on earth did you manage to remain polite? Seriously, what goes through people's minds that leads to "maybe I should get into this stranger's business and give them unsolicited advice including scattered negative comments..I'm sure they'll appreciate it?"

ohh you are too nice!! i would have been laughing in her face as i opened the box and started eating them one by one right in front of her

Well my MIL told stopped by this morning and said.. "Wow you look huge." People are unbeliveable.

I think we should have a "Witty Retort to Obnoxious Comments" thread. I havent gotten any, but after months of reading about what al of you have heard, I think we each need to have a prepared arsenal.

Aww, thank you! You are such a sweetheart...although I don't want to stand too close to you b/c we so don't look like we are due 4 days apart. You look GREAT!!
Btw, I was closely watching Dave's face for his expression when you unzipped my coat to show him my belly, but he was very good. Quite the poker face.
