how long can you leave homemade spaghetti sauce in the fridge?
Weekend before last, I made (and froze) spaghetti sauce. I defrosted it on Friday and it has been in the fridge ever since. (Long story, but we never got to eat it...)
Should I toss it? (We could otherwise eat it tonight, but I'm afraid it's been out too long - ?)
ETA - I defrosted it this past Friday, so it's been in the fridge for 5 days (not over a week). Just in case my post was confusing.

You should be fine. I wouldn't worry about it, but would perform "the smell test" just to be sure.

did you defrost it in the refrigerator? or on the counter then put it back in the refrigerator?
I would say is still good if you let it defrost in the refrigerator.....I have kept sauce in the refrigerator for longer than that and its been good

Nope.
Thanks for the advice all! I'm guessing it's fine. I'll smell just to be sure, though!!
