Re: Registering

I will be about 5.5 - 6 months when I register. We're going to do it in January, after the level 2 sono and after the holidays.

Re: Registering

I registered at about 14 weeks. I just finished this past weekend at about 17 weeks. It's soo exhausting to do with researching, playing with things, I didn't want to wait til i was further into my pg.

That was my next question - where the heck to you begin researching everything?

I started by borrowing the consumer reports baby bargains book, then if you go on babiesrus.com, you can read comments and almost everything. I also asked the store associates a million questions, every friend/family i have who have recently had kids I asked them a million questions.

I only researched the big ticket items like carseats, infant carriers, pack and plays, cribs, high chairs, etc. The little things i played by ear and by recommendation.

HOpe that helps!

I can't even begin to tell you how much I recommend the book Baby Bargains. It is fantastic - a true lifesaver. I was completely overwhelmed when I started to think about registering because I knew NOTHING. That book took all the guesswork out of it -- I walked into the store feeling fully educated!

I registered at about 20 weeks... Its very overwhelming and time consuming. You may have to make more than one trip. But i found it so much more fun than wedding registering!!!!!!Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: Registering

I started at 18 weeks, but I am only just about finished now(22 weeks). I also suggest Baby Bargains, it was very helpful for the big items. I also used the BRU website and read reviews. I did a lot of research and then the actual registering came a lot easier. Good luck and have fun!Chat Icon
