Where have I gone wrong? HELP!
So I started a diet and daily workout routine about a month ago. The first 2 weeks I dropped 8 lbs but the past 2 weeks I have been stagnant. Where have I gone wrong? I am eating great and doing daily exercise. I switch up my exercise routine and everything. Half of the days, I work out 2x a day. I don't see any muscle building going on. Could that be it though? What can I do to shed some more weight? I'm still about 15 lbs away from my goal.

Just keep going... you will get there. Don't get frustrated. One month is not that long.

True. I guess I have to keep it in perspective. Thanks for the encouragement.
If anyone has any advice, I'd appreciate it. I'll keep plugging away at it though!

Re: Where have I gone wrong? HELP!
First off 8 lbs in a month is wonderful! Your body could just be readjusting.
Are you sure you are eating enough? Are you eating plenty of protein and drinking enough water?

Theres actually research that taking"maintence breaks" is the time when your body readjusts your metabolism to your new weight. It helps you to loose more weight and keep it off further down the road. Most of the research I;ve read says to maintain weight loss for 2 weeks after ever 10# loss, so that probably what your body is doing naturally.

Thanks girls! I guess I should stop questioning "what am I doing wrong?" I'll just keep working at it.

You are probably on target with me not eating enough as well. The first 2 weeks I ate more and lost. I guess I've been using bad logic...that if I eat less, I'll lose more. I have to get back on track. Thanks!

Don't get too frustrated! If you keep at it, the weight will come off!
Are you drinking enough water? I know that is key for me!!!
I always find too that for the first couple of weeks that I'm dieting, I am really really good- and then I slack off a little bit- but in my mind, I am still being really good- not sure if that makes sense- and not saying its the case with you, but that is what happens with me quite often!! Just takes a week or two of not seeing the results that I want to see to make me realize that I'm not giving it enough focus!

Re: Where have I gone wrong? HELP!
Muscle weighs more than fat. That could be the "problem" as well. My friend has been trying to lose weight and in the process lost little weight but a few inches.
