BC /Brake though bleeding

I take Ortho tri-cyclen lo

I had my period a week ago and on sunday i had brake though bleeding. I take it everyday and the same time.

Has anyone had this before on this pill.
I never had it at all.

I used to be on OTC lo and had the same problem. I would have my break through bleeding at the 2wk mark so it felt like I was getting AF every 2wks. I came off of it to get pg and didn't go back to it. I use the Nuva-Ring now and so far no complaints.

Did you switch pills? A lower dosage of hormones might cause this.

I had this with Loestrin and Femcon. I felt like I was bleeding for half the month. I orginally went on BC just to regulate and lighten up AF. Now I went off them and for the first time in about 2 years everything went according to schedule. Go figure.

I get breakthrough bleeding on some pills and it did happen after years of being on the pill without any problem. I think that there is more of a chance of it with the tri-phasic ones, which is what your pill is. I don't think I have even been on that exact one but I have lost track of what I have been on over the years.

I used to get this when I used the patch. I used nuvaring after that and had no problems.
